The visit of the town will resume with the visit of the former royal palace, today a museum. Then you will admire the oldest temple in the town, Vat Xieng Thong, as well as the masterpieces of traditional and colonial architecture on the peninsula that was formed by the Mekong and the Nam Khan River.
Lunch on the terrace of a charming restaurant on the banks of the Nam Khan River.
The city tour will continue with the visit of villa Xieng Mouan as well as the Traditional Arts & Ethnic Center.
Finally, it will be time to admire the sunset from the top of Mount Phou Si.

Arrival in the small port of Pakbeng in the late afternoon.

At the top of a hill you will discover splendid mountain scenery overlooking the Mekong.
Return to Pakbeng for lunch. Next, en route to Muang La where you will arrive in the late afternoon. The mountainous landscapes are beautiful.

The area is gorgeous and offers the opportunity to discover the deep and preserved Laos as well as some beautiful ethnic villages.
There, you will embark on a traditional private boat for an unforgettable cruise on the Nam Ou River.
The karstic (limestone) and jungle sceneries are breathtaking.

Then you will visit the village of Ban Sop Jam, a weavers village.
Arrival in the late afternoon to Nong Khiaw.
You'll stay in a simple and charming lodge. The bungalows are in a pretty garden by the river.
Along the way, you will visit the ethnical village of Ban Na Ngan (Lu ethnic group).
After lunch you will get to the "cave of the thousand Buddhas" located at the confluence of the Mekong and the Nam Ou river.
Arrival to Luang Prabang in the afternoon.
The visit of the capital of Laos will begin with Ho Pha Keo temple. It previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha statue that is today in Bangkok. Opposite, you will visit Wat Sisakhet, built at the beginning of the XIXth century.
In the late afternoon you can admire That Luang Stupa. Erected in 1586, this reliquary is the most sacred monument of the country.
